JEFFERSON STREET RECONSTRUCTION

Open to Traffic

The City of Kirksville began reconstruction of Jefferson Street from 150 feet west of First Street to High Street on May 27, 2008.  The City's contractor, Mihalevich Concrete Construction  removed the pavement to facilitate the installation of new storm drainage and to improve the horizontal and vertical layout of the new road.  A new roadway has been constructed consisting of a full width concrete street, concrete sidewalks and driveway entrances.   This project is funded by Transportation sales tax, Capital Improvement sales tax, Downtown TIF district funds and funds from A.T. Still University.
