According to City Ordinance (Sec. 32-6), the owners of property within the city shall keep the sidewalk along and in front of the property free from snow and ice, and, after a snowfall, owners shall, within 24 hours, remove the snow on their sidewalks. Additionally, citizens responsible for sidewalks that could be covered by City crews during street snow removal are encouraged to wait until the streets are cleared before clearing their sidewalks. For more information, contact the Public Works Department at 660.627.1291.
