From May 24, 2025 - August 16, 2025 the outdoor water park will be open for adult fitness times!

Arthritis Water Aerobics

Monday - Friday
8:00 am - 9:00 am

Free with paid admission or pool pass. 

Kick off your morning right with a morning warm-up for those joints and muscles. This class is very low-impact and great for those with mobility and arthritis issues.  

The Arthritis Water Aerobics meets year-round in the heated indoor pool. There is no need to register, simply join us as your schedule allows! 


Friends Water Aerobics

Monday, Wednesday, Friday
1:30 pm - 2:30 pm

Free with paid admission or pool pass.

This class focuses on keeping your body moving with resistance exercises. Friends Aerobics is low-impact and great for those looking to get started with water fitness.

The Friends Water Aerobics meets all year long in the heated indoor pool. There is no need to register, simply join us as your schedule allows!


Evening Water Aerobics

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday
5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Free with paid admission or pool pass.

Join the Evening Water Aerobics for your evening workout. This class is low- to medium-impact and focuses on gaining muscular strength and cardio endurance.

The Evening Water Aerobics meets year-round in the heated indoor pool. There is no need to register, simply join us as your schedule allows! 

Water Exploration

Water Exploration is designed for beginning swimmers ages 6 months to 3 years and a parent. Each session consists of six half-hour classes where the child explores the water through songs and games. Sessions are $33 for members or $66 for non members.  Scholarships are available.

Group Swimming Lessons

Group swimming lessons are for swimmers ages 3 and up. Each session consists of six 45-minute lessons. Levels offered include Level 1 through Level 5. Sessions are $33 for members or $66 for non members.  Scholarships are available.

Private Swimming Lessons

Private swimming lessons are available for swimmers of all ages, even adults!  Schedule your session of six half-hour lessons by contacting the Kirksville Parks and Recreation office. Sessions are $108 for members or $144 for non members. Class times are set based on student and instructor availability.  Email Cody Bryant at c.bryant@kirksville.gov to request private swimming lessons or register your child via the Program Registration Portal.

Scholarship Program

The Kirksville Aquatic Center now offers a scholarship program that provides financial assistance for qualifying students in Water Exploration and Group Swimming Lessons. Apply now for assistance from the Scholarship Program. 

Indoor Pool Birthday Parties 

The indoor pool party cove can be reserved for $25 per hour during our regular winter hours of operation.  In addition to the rental fee, admission must be paid for everyone who attends the party. Admission is discounted to $6 per swimmer and $4 for each nonswimmer.  Guests may use pool passes for their admission.   

Cake, ice cream, drinks, and other treats may be brought in for the party. No glass containers are allowed. Reminder, children 8 and under must be accompanied in the water by an adult.

Water Park Birthday Parties 

An outdoor shade cabaña can be reserved for $25 per hour during our regular summer hours of operation.  In addition to the rental fee, admission must be paid for everyone who attends the party. Admission is discounted to $6 per swimmer and $4 for each nonswimmer.  Guests may use pool passes for their admission.   

Cake, ice cream, drinks, and other treats may be brought in for the party. Pizza may be pre-ordered from the concession stand for $13 a pizza. No glass containers are allowed. Reminder, children 8 and under must be accompanied in the water by an adult.

Indoor Pool Private Rental

The indoor pool is available for private rental before or after regular hours of operation. Requests for private rentals must be made at least two weeks before the event.

$120 per hour plus paid admission to the facility. Admission is discounted to $6 for swimmers and $4 for nonswimmers.


Water Park Private Rental


The water park is available for private rental before or after regular hours of operation during the summer season only. Requests for private rentals must be made at least two weeks before your event.

$275 per hour plus paid admission to the facility. Admission is discounted to $6 for swimmers and $4 for nonswimmers.

Adult CPR/AED and First Aid Training

1st Wednesdays of each month at 10 am.

Adult Course: $100
Add Pediatric Skills: $15

The Adult CPR/AED blended learning course equips students to recognize and care for a variety of breathing and cardiac emergencies involving adults. It is designed for students who need a certification that satisfies OSHA workplace or other regulatory requirements. This class is taught in a blended learning format and the online portion (accessed via mobile desktop or tablet) must be completed prior to attending the Instructor-led skills session. Upon successful completion a valid 2 year digital certificate for Adult CPR/AED is issued.  The link for the blended learning course will be sent via email after registration.  To register, visit the Program Registration Portal.


BLS/CPR for the Professional Rescuer

2nd Wednesday of each month at 10:00 am.

Full Course: $100

The Kirksville Aquatic Center offers American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) training. The BLS course provides healthcare providers and public safety professionals the knowledge and skills necessary to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adult, child and infant patients. This class is taught in a blended learning format and the online portion (accessed via mobile desktop or tablet) must be completed prior to attending the instructor-led skills session. Upon successful completion of the course, learners will receive a 2-year Basic Life Support digital certificate with anytime anywhere access to certificate and training history. Lifeguard Training

All students will complete an online course before the in-person meeting.

2025 training dates to be announced soon.

Review Course: $175

The Lifeguarding course provides participants the knowledge & skills to prevent recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide professional-level care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries, and sudden illnesses. This class uses blended learning and requires the online portion to be completed prior to the in person course. Participants who successfully complete this course receive an American Red Cross certificate for Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid valid for 2 years. 

All students must be at least 15 years of age by the first day of class, complete a 200-yard swim, 2 minutes of treading, and timed brick retrieval.  If participants cannot complete the prerequisites they will not be permitted to continue in the class.  Students must attend all class sessions or make prior arrangements with the instructor.

Wading Pools will be open on days where the temperature is above 70 degrees and there is no threat of precipitation.

Lifeguards

Lifeguards are responsible for ensuring the safety of patrons in the aquatic facility and wading pools by preventing and responding to emergencies.
Applicants must be at least 15 years of age. Lifeguard training is provided at no cost.


Swim Lessons Instructors

Swim Instructors are responsible for conducting group and private swimming lessons following provided lesson plans.  
Applicants must be at least 15 years of age. Previous teaching experience preferred. On-the-job training is provided at no cost.


Admissions/Concessions Worker

Admissions/Concessions Workers are responsible for greeting patrons as they enter the Aquatic Center, recording transactions, preparing, and handling concessions food.
Applicants must be at least 15 years of age and possess excellent customer service skills. Food handler training is provided at no cost.
